Job summary

Germantown Tool & Manufacturing is seeking a Tool Maker to operate CNC and other metalworking equipment, crafting tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. You will read engineering drawings, set up machines, and ensure tools meet specifications.

The position emphasizes precision, problem-solving, and collaboration with engineering and shop staff. Prior experience in metal fabrication and programming of machine tools is required, with Laser programming preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with basic mathematical skills.
• Experience reading blueprints and CAD.
• 5–10 years in metal fabrication or machining; mechanical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and inspect jigs, fixtures, and dies.
• Inspect parts for conformity to specifications and manufacturability.
• Layout and perform bench and machine operations to construct tooling.
• Train operators on fixtures and inspection equipment.
• Assist in design of assembly lines and prototype parts.
• Order tool room inventory and related materials.
