Qualifications

• High school diploma required and strong math skills.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints for tooling.
• CAD experience and programming for machine tools and EDM required; laser programming preferred.
• 5–10 years of metal fabrication or machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts produced with new tooling for conformity to specifications.
• Evaluate part print specifications for manufacturability.
• Inspect tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauging devices for proper orientation and processing.
• Perform bench and machine operations to construct, alter and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs and gauges.
• Design, fabricate and repair tooling and material handling equipment as needed.
• Assist in the design of assembly lines and prototype parts for manufacturability.
• Train operators on fixtures and inspection equipment.
• Assist in installation and removal of assembly lines.
