Job summary

Masterack is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to build, repair, and maintain dies and production tooling in a manufacturing setting. You will read engineering drawings, inspect components with precision gauges, and work with mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment to ensure tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of direct tool-room experience, with expertise in stamping/forming dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges, and a commitment to safe, organized work practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Tool & Die Maker/Die Maker/Toolmaker experience.
• Direct experience building, repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting production dies/tooling.
• Experience with metal stamping or forming dies is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, tooling drawings, and dimensional specs.
• Experience with tool-room equipment and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot dies and tooling for wear, damage, and alignment issues.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, fit, and reassemble dies and tooling.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production dies and tooling.
• Read and interpret tooling drawings and CAD prints.
• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment to replace or repair components.
• Ensure tight tolerances and proper assembly of tooling components.
• Assist with die tryouts and production improvements.
