You will build, repair, and maintain dies and fixtures, operating CNC and manually controlled machines with precise speeds and feeds. The role requires reading complex drawings and using precision measurement tools to verify tolerances against prints.

The position emphasizes maintaining tooling, assisting apprentices, and ensuring safety and quality across production processes at our Bradford facility.

Qualifications

• Journeyman status or apprenticeship path leading to mastery of tool and die maker skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and maintain complex dies, fixtures per primary function info.
• Operate CNC and manually controlled machines with correct speeds and feeds.
• Read and interpret blueprints and dimensional information.
• Use precision measurement equipment to verify work against prints.
• Repair and maintain tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Disassemble/assemble dies and machinery for repairs.
• Test and adjust CNC programs as required.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment and tool room machinery.
• Perform calculations to determine dimensions, threads, speeds, and feeds.
• Inspect tooling and heat-treated items as needed.
• Assist in training apprentices and directing shop personnel.
• Keep work area clean and records up to date.
• Contribute to productivity, quality, and safety.
