Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking a Toolmaker Apprentice to join our 4-year apprenticeship program focused on building, maintaining, and repairing tooling used in manufacturing. You will learn via hands-on machining, tooling assembly, and troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced toolmakers.

There are 1st and 2nd shift openings; 1st shift is Mon-Thu 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime eligibility. The program emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a precision metal components

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and prepare instructions for tooling or die.
• Plan setup and operate machine tools for tooling.
• Consider materials, tolerances, tooling, lubricants, and feeds/speeds.
• Use precision measuring tools during and after machining.
• Set up, test and adjust tooling to specs; troubleshoot die issues.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Provide guidance to less experienced tool room personnel.
