Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Tool and Die Maker Apprentice for the 2nd shift (2pm - 10:30pm). This full-time, hourly role supports our tool room team and includes on-the-job training paired with local college coursework.

You will read blueprints, perform welding repairs and heat treatment, and use precision measuring and gaging tools to inspect and assemble tooling. Reports to the Tool and Die Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints to repair and make new components.
• Work from verbal or written instructions.
• Weld repair and heat treatment of different materials including tool steels.
• Use precision measuring and gaging tools to perform required inspection.
• Tear down, repair and reassemble tooling in the press and on the bench.
• Gain knowledge and experience of a skilled trades associate through local college coursework and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

This full-time, hourly, role is a part of our Tool and Die team and reports to the Tool and Die Supervisor.
