Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking Toolmaker Apprentices in Florida for a structured 4‑year program to learn tooling design, setup, and maintenance. You will work with skilled toolmakers to develop hands‑on machining, tooling assembly, and troubleshooting capabilities.

The role includes 1st shift (Mon‑Thu 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and a 2nd shift (Mon‑Thu; hours TBD). Overtime eligibility is noted. A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical experience required.
• Industry experience: deep draw and progressive tooling experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete Apprenticeship Program.
• Commit to completing a minimum of 600 classroom hours.
• Commit to completing a minimum of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Analyze and interpret drawings; prepare instructions for tooling or die.
• Plan own setup and operate machine tools.
• Consider material type, tolerances, tooling, lubricants and feeds/speeds.
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools.
• May set up and adjust tooling in production to meet specs.
• Troubleshoot die problems in production.
• Maintain a neat and safe work area.
• Communicate issues to Team Leader to meet goals.
