Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking a skilled tool and die technician to build, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair tools and dies for progressive and secondary stamping presses. You will work closely with design engineers in a fast-paced shop environment.

A minimum of 2 years’ tool and die fabrication experience is required, with knowledge of coining metals, nickel alloys, deep draw, and transfer press techniques. High school diploma or GED required; strong math and GD&T skills preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with tool and die fabrication
• Knowledge of coining metals and nickel alloy behavior
• Deep draw and transfer press techniques knowledge
• Basic math and trigonometry
• Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tool room equipment (surface grinders, heat treat ovens, hone, polishing, jig bore).
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to meet print criteria using precision measuring instruments (optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
• Ensure parts meet drawing specs and pass internal inspection.
