ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Repair, maintain and make engineering changes to all tools and fixtures.
  2. Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required.
  3. Safely operate all tool room equipment.
  4. Have abilities to assemble and disassemble tooling, dies and gauges.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling problems.
  6. Work with various materials such as tool steels, plastics, aluminum, and copper.
  7. Must have or acquire personal tools to perform job assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); journeyman’s certification (preferred) and/or equivalent experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
