Job summary

A.S. Aerospace Inc. in Santa Clarita, CA, seeks a skilled Tool & Die Maker to set up and operate milling, lathe, surface grinder, and precision grinding equipment. You will interpret blueprints, ensure quality, and document workmanship daily.

The role is full-time, with an 8-hour shift Monday–Friday; overtime possible. Prior carbide dies machining and Mastercam familiarity are highly valued, as are strong communication and reliability.

Ability to operate an OD grinder and honing machine. Candidates are required to interpret blueprints/drawings; verify and accurately report on quality and quantity of work performed; maintain a clean and organized work area. Experience machining Carbide dies for forging processes is preferred and desired.Daily tasks: Interpret blueprints/drawings to create tooling. Set up and operate major machining equipment.Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 3+ years in a tool room as machinist. High School graduate or equivalent. Basic English reading and math skills. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Familiarity with the material carbide and Mastercam is a plus. EDM knowledge is also a plus.Reporting Relationships: Will report to the Tooling Supervisor and/or the Plant Manager.Working Conditions: Standing most of the time. Carry parts that usually weigh less than 20 lbs., but may be up to 40 lbs.Success Factors: The candidate should have a good attitude and be willing to learn.
