  • Assembles dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired.
  • Surface Grinding & Manual Machining.
  • Reads and understands blueprints as required to build new fixtures, tools, molds, and dies.
  • Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality.
  • Regularly tests equipment, tools, and machines (NON CNC) to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to safely and accurately operate all measuring and production equipment.
  • Basic understanding of metallic properties.
  • Ability to work independently, and with engineers and machinists.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the tool and die, and mold industry is required.
  • On-the-job training available.
