Reporting directly to the Tool Room Supervisor, the Tool Maker/Machinist is responsible for executing, planning, and coordinating tool and die repair and maintenance activities. The Tool Maker/Machinist will assist in training new and existing team members and those seeking skill advancement. The individual will participate in improving work methods, standard work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.

What Will You Do?

• Perform maintenance and construction of tooling and dies safely and proficiently.
• Prioritize, plan, and coordinate Tool Making activities.
• Perform/assist with hands-on training with other team members on standard tooling practices.
• Follow Work/Operator Instructions and Training to perform Standard Work.

Required Skills

What We Are Looking For

• Apprentice or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker or Machinist with a minimum of 2 years of Technical School Training in tool and die/machining or 5-7 years working in the Tool & Die or Machining field.
• Proven experience operating CNC turning and milling equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of common die practices and machining in a Machining/Cutting environment.
• Ability to generate handwritten and electronic correspondence.
