Job summary

Eaton in Reno, NV is hiring a Machinist (2nd Shift) in Tool & Die to join our team. The position offers an hourly rate of $34.20 plus a $0.50 shift differential, with core hours 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

You will read blueprints, measure with calipers and micrometers, assess tooling damage, and determine whether dies are dull or in need of repair. Candidates must have at least three years of machining experience and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years machining experience.
• Must be skilled in operation of lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders.
• Ability to read blueprints and use calipers/micrometers/tape measures to check dimensions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefits; must reside within 50 miles of Reno, NV.

Responsibilities

• Determine and assess damage to tooling and repair steps.
• Decide if die is dull or cracked and requires sharpening or repair.
• Identify whether product quality issues stem from tooling or setup.
• Read blueprints and measure dimensions with precision instruments.
