Eaton’s Mobility division in Carol Stream, Illinois is seeking a Toolmaker for the 2nd shift. This role involves fabricating and maintaining tools and dies, supporting die design, and performing inspections to meet specifications in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of tool and die making experience; journeyman status is preferred. The position offers a Monday-Thursday schedule (4–11 hour days) with a three-day weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of tool and die maker experience.
• Certified journeyman tool and die maker (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and maintain tools, dies and related accessories.
• Assist with die design and strip layout processes.
• Inspect work to ensure specifications are met using measuring equipment.
• Maintain all personal measuring equipment for accuracy.
• Operate and maintain tool room equipment (surface grinders, mills, drill presses, water grinders).
• Keep work area clean and orderly; log Die activity.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and qualify stamping dies.
• Perform preventative maintenance of dies and document PM activity.
• Provide on-the-job training to Tool & Die Apprentices when requested.
• Assess apprentice progress through the apprenticeship program.
