Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Tool & Die Machinist.The hourly rate for this position is $23.01 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The position supports the daily operational activities of production work cells and ensures that the routine daily operations are productive and safe. Some specific duties include:• Assist in the construction and repair of tools, dies and other components used in the manufacturing process.• Learn and apply skills in various machining operations including milling, grinding and turning• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with precision• Accurately measure and inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with tools and dies under the supervision of senior staff• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols in the manufacturing plant• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skillsQualifications:Basic Requirements:• Ability to machine and construct tooling to drawing specifications to meet production need• Ability to read blueprint drawings• Ability to use manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc.• Familiarity with machining a variety of tool steel material and including D2, A2, and copper.Preferred Qualifications:• Associates Degree related to Tool and Machining or 2 years of experience as a die maker.• Experience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes.• Welding TIG/MIG experience• Familiarity with steel heat treating processWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
