Job summary

Kratos C5ISR is seeking a CAD Designer to create precise 2D drawings and 3D models for defense and national security products. You will translate engineering concepts into production-ready drawings and collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Proficiency in 2D CAD and 3D modeling is required, with experience in Inventor, Vault, SolidWorks and PDM preferred; NX, Creo, or CATIA also acceptable.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Design, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of CAD design experience.
• Proficient in 2D CAD and 3D modeling; experience with Inventor, Vault, SolidWorks and PDM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models based on engineering requirements, specifications, and design concepts.
• Ensure drawings and models are accurate, complete, compliant with applicable standards, and ready for manufacturing or implementation.
• Partner closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and incorporate design changes.
• Maintain organized design documentation and handle sensitive information in accordance with government and company requirements.
• Support or oversee the CAD design process for smaller projects, or defined portions of larger projects, to help ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.
