TEAM Industries in Minnesota is seeking a shift-based role to support production by sharpening and tracking gear tooling, and maintaining tooling inventory. The job requires operating and programing machines in the sharpening room and coordinating with supervisors to ensure proper tooling requirements are met.

Responsabilidades

• Supports production by sharpening and tracking gear tooling.
• Replenishes production floor with approved tooling maintained by the sharpening room.
• Tracks and maintains gear tooling inventory as needed.
• Coordinates with department supervisors to follow tooling tracking procedures.
• Operates and programs machines in the sharpening room.
• Inspects wear of hobs, broach bars and cutters prior to sharpening.
• Coordinates packaging and shipment for tooling reconditioning.
• Works with engineering on new tools, testing, and changes.
• Monitors and reorders sharpening room tooling and wheels.
• Performs duties of Tool Crib Attendants as needed.
• Supports TEAM Industries Quality Management system and objectives.
• Promotes a positive atmosphere and welfare of TEAM employees.
• Will perform other duties as requested.

Description

Purpose: Supports production by sharpening and tracking gear tooling

• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
• Responsible for replenishing production floor with approved tooling that is maintained by the sharpening room (all gear and spline manufacturing tools)
• Tracks and maintains gear tooling inventory as needed
• Responsible for communication with department supervisors to ensure gear tooling requirement-tracking procedures are followed in all areas.
• Operate and program new and existing machines in the sharpening room
• Inspect and accurately measure wear of hobs, broach bars and solid body cutters prior to sharpening
• Responsible for coordinating, packaging, and shipment for all tools requiring reconditioning (sharpening and coating) as needed
• Works with engineering dept. on new tools, testing, and changes as needed
• Monitors and reorders required tooling for sharpening room, i.e. sharpening wheels as needed
• Perform duties of Tool Crib Attendants as needed
• Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives.
• Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience :

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Equivalent combination of 3-year experience of CNC and/or manual operation including setup. Gearing background preferred

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Detail and accuracy oriented
• Ability to acquire Mag Particle certification
• On the job training

Training:

• Reference OJT

Physical Demands

• Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to continuously operate a minimum of 3 hours
