Job summary

Chemelex is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to manage and maintain tool inventory within a manufacturing setting. The role requires detail orientation and experience in a machine shop environment to ensure proper storage and accessible tooling.

Responsibilities include tool inspections, accurate documentation, vendor coordination for replacements, and safe, organized tool crib operations that support operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure tools to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain organized files, spreadsheets, emails, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for tooling and supplies.
• Manage and stock the tool crib for easy access.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and tools are properly labeled.
• Test tools prior to deployment to prevent delays or safety issues.
• Communicate with project teams about tool availability.
• Keep the tool crib clean, safe, and organized.
