Job summary

Orizon Aerostructures is seeking a detail-oriented material handler to support production operations in Kansas. You will coordinate with team leads to assemble tool kits, ensure tools are ready for each shift, and work with maintenance to service and return tools.

You will also manage inventories, assist with receiving, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires basic computer skills, strong communication, and the ability to work extended hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with basic shop floor tools and paperwork.
• Attention to detail and spatial awareness required.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends when needed to support production.
• Ability to follow safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leads on tool kits needed for start of shift.
• Ensure tools are checked out and ready before shift start.
• Coordinate with maintenance on servicing tools and returning tools to service.
• Perform basic daily maintenance on tools as they are returned.
• Issue consumable tooling to mechanics such as drill bits.
• Maintain a full inventory listing and monthly cycle count.
• Bring ideas to improve shop efficiency to the continuous improvement department.
• Manage manufacturing system inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts.
• Review work orders to locate, stage, and deliver materials to work cells per schedule.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to prevent stockouts.
• Unload, store, and organize incoming materials and assist with receiving paperwork.
• Conduct daily forklift safety checks and maintain documentation.
