Job summary

Girtz Industries, Inc. in Monticello, IN is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain current inventory and ensure parts are readily accessible on the shop floor.

You will support 1st and 2nd shifts, pull parts for associates, assist in cycle counts, and help label locations and expand storage. Reliable attendance is required and you will report to the Inventory Control Manager.

Rootstock involvement for customer supplied parts may develop as part of this role.

Responsibilities

• Support 1st and 2nd shifts with consistent attendance.
• Remove parts from inventory as they are issued to associates.
• Assist in cycle counts with the Tool Crib.
• Create customer supplied parts numbers in Rootstock if required.
• Label locations, racks, shelves and bins for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control to expand on-site storage.
• Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.

Job Purpose: To have all inventory current and readily accessible.
Job duties:
1. Need to support 1st and 2nd shift.
2. Need to remove parts from inventory when parts are given to the associates.
a. Issue material to JOBs when they are taken to the floor.
3. The Tool Crib will assist in performing cycle counts.
a. A count will be given to the Inventory Control Manager for adjustments at the end of the shift.
4. The items listed above also apply for customer supplied parts.
a. Inventory Control may eventually create customer supplied parts numbers in Rootstock.
5. Label locations, racks, shelves, bins, etc.
a. Implement in storage containers.
6. Work with Inventory Control Manager to increase on site storage areas.
a. Additional outdoor containers.
b. Labeling racks, totes, spool holders, etc.
7. Reliable and predictable attendance required.
