Job summary

Kelly Services in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Tool Clerk I to support tooling, blueprints, and stock management at a premier client site. The role is a 12-month assignment (temp to hire) with a 1st shift, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

You will check work against prints, order tooling, withdraw items from stock, update the system, and collaborate with Tool Room, Purchasing, and Engineering to expedite tooling orders and improve traceability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Able to read blueprints and enter data accurately.
• Experience handling tooling orders and stock control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check work against blueprints and enter work orders for tooling, grinding, and machining.
• Order tooling as needed and withdraw items from stock when required.
• Update and distribute the Hot Job report daily; verify tool quantities.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Purchasing, and Engineering to expedite tooling orders.
• Compare items to prints to ensure accuracy and document discrepancies.

Job Details:

Duration: 12 Months (Temp to Hire)

Shift: 1st, 9am-5:30am, M-F

Job Description:

Check work on the computer for the employees (tooling, grinding, machining), using the blueprints, entering work orders

Order tooling that is needed in the organization

Withdraw tools from stocks if necessary and adjust system of quantities

Forward request for tooling and prints to Tool Room for review

Update and distribute Hot Job report on a daily basis

Collect tooling Green Sheets from departments, pull and attach blueprints, then forward sheets to Tool Room for review

Pull and fill blank tooling requisitions for Tool Room

Update and maintain system with cancellations approved by departments

Quote outside venders

Work close with purchasing and engineering

Expedite tooling orders in the Tool Room as requested by departments

Complete, if necessary, reports and graphs for tracking tool ordering and receipt times

Compare physical item to print of problem tools to ensure that information is correct (i.e. wrong tool numbers, identify tools, etc.

Requirement:

High school diploma or GED

Steel toe shoes required
