Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Tool Room Supervisor to organize and manage the tool room, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and available for use. The role requires Journeyman Tool and Die status with strong CAD/CNC experience and 10+ years in manufacturing.

You will supervise staff, optimize CNC capability, monitor safety, and contribute to budgeting. The position offers pay in the range shown and additional compensation elements typical for manufacturing roles.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool and Die status with strong CAD/CNC experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, within a closely related field of study.
• 10+ years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Regular audits of tools and equipment to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Resolve tool performance issues and employee conflicts related to the tool room.
• Stay updated with tool room technologies and upgrade employee skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a detailed inventory of tools and equipment and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
• Supervise tool room staff, including scheduling and training (Apprenticeship Program).
• Develop the Tool Room to evolve CNC capability and reduce cost of spare parts on hand.
• Collaborate with production to understand tool requirements and ensure timely availability.
• Implement and monitor tool usage and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Assist in budget preparation for the tool room operations and monitor expenditures.
