Job summary

Atkore International Group Inc. is seeking a Tool Room Supervisor to organize and manage the tool room, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and available for use.

The role involves supervising tool room staff, scheduling, and developing CNC capabilities to reduce spare parts costs. The position requires a Journeyman Tool and Die status with CAD/CNC experience, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool and Die status required; CAD/CNC experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a detailed inventory of tools and equipment and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
• Supervise tool room staff, including scheduling, training (Apprenticeship Program), and performance management.
• Develop Tool Room employees to evolve CNC capability and reduce spare parts on hand costs.
• Collaborate with production to understand tool requirements and ensure timely availability.
• Implement and monitor systems for tracking tool usage and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols within the Tool Room.
• Assist in budget preparation for tool room operations and monitor expenditures.
• Other duties as assigned.
