Job summary

CNH Industrial Group in New Holland, PA, is seeking a skilled manufacturing tooling professional to construct, alter and repair tools, dies and fixtures according to blueprints.

You will inspect machined and formed parts using verniers, micrometers, calipers and CMMs, identify errors and ensure all products meet stringent quality standards through close collaboration with production teams.

Qualifications

  • Bench work: filing, scraping, grinding, fitting and assembling components.
  • Ensure products meet quality guidelines and assist in quality improvements.
  • Detect improper operation, faulty equipment or materials and report to supervision.

Job Purpose

Construct, alter and repair a normal variety of tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, machines, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work from blueprints, tables, specifications and handbook formulas or data to layout and inspect a wide variety of machined, welded, or formed parts, units, components, raw materials, and castings or other materials, part or supplies as directed in any company area.
  • Recognize and report for correction drawing or blueprint errors that may prevent proper function of tool.
  • Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and accessories such as verniers, micrometers, calipers, surface plate, hardness tester, coordinate measuring machine, or other inspection equipment to check parts and items to close tolerances.
  • Perform design reviews and follow-up fixturing concerns through to production.
  • Skilled bench work involving filing, scraping, lapping, grinding, fitting, finishing, assembly and adjusting to insure proper operation.
  • Ensure all products meet the quality guidelines and follow all quality standards, procedures and guidelines in place and be active in improving product quality.
  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
