Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc is seeking a Tool Maker to support manufacturing operations on 2nd Shift. You'll be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and refurbishing tooling. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, experience in toolmaking or machining, and familiarity with CNC. This position offers a pay range of $25 to $30 per hour, plus benefits like health insurance, 401(k), and more.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and refurbish tooling per specifications.
  • Change tooling and adjust machining as required.
  • Report unusual conditions to leadership.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow safety rules.
  • Train new employees in setup and operation.

Skills

Ability to read and understand tooling drawings
General understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with materials used in tooling
Interpret written and verbal instructions
Maintain production levels and quality standards
Complete and maintain necessary records

Education

HS Diploma or GED
Toolmaking or Machining experience
CNC experience

Job description

Job Summary:

Tool Makers are primarily responsible for fabricating, repairing and refurbishing tooling in support of manufacturing operations on 2nd Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture, Fabricate, repair and refurbish tooling per print specifications. Identify issues with materials or equipment and notify leadership. Complete necessary records.
  • Change tooling and attachments as required; adjust machining for standard tooling to meet varying conditions and material.
  • Detect and report unusual conditions and special problems to proper leadership.
  • Keep work area in clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations, and conform to OSHA regulations.
  • Train new employees in set up and operation as needed.
Job Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to read and understand tooling drawings and prints as provided by Engineering Department
  • General understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with the different types of materials used to create and maintain assigned tooling
  • Read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures
  • Maintain established production levels and quality standards
  • Complete and maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections
Education and Experience:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Toolmaking or Machining experience preferred
  • CNC experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • May include: standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
