Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, tables and specs to lay out and inspect parts.
• Using precision instruments to verify close tolerances.
• Interpreting drawings to detect and report errors or discrepancies.
• Performing design reviews and fixturing follow-ups for production.
• Executing bench work: filing, scraping, grinding, finishing, assembly.

Responsibilities

• Layout and inspect machined, welded, or formed parts per blueprints and data.
• Recognize and report blueprint errors that may affect function.
• Use precision measuring tools to check parts to tight tolerances.
• Perform fixturing reviews and follow-ups to production.
• Bench work: filing, scraping, grinding, fitting and assembling components.
• Ensure products meet quality guidelines and assist in quality improvements.
• Detect improper operation, faulty equipment or materials and report to supervision.
