Tool and Die MakerThe Oakwood GroupYour Role:

• Die Fabrication: Lead the entire fabrication of intricate dies for various production processes. Utilize advanced techniques, tools, and shop machinery to achieve precision, quality, and efficiency in die manufacturing. This includes the fabrication, fit, and assembly of details, completing the die tryout phase, and confirming that the parts meet the customer's specifications.
• Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of existing dies, ensuring longevity and optimal performance. Implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
• Quality Control: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the highest die and component production standards. Conduct thorough inspections and testing throughout the build process to identify and address any deviations from specifications.
• **Collaboration:**Work closely with the design and engineering teams to interpret design specifications and provide insights for die improvements. Translate design specifications into actionable steps for die fabrication, including required outside processes. Collaborate on the development of new die designs to meet evolving production needs.
• Troubleshooting: Act as a subject matter expert in diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to die functionality. Provide technical support to address challenges in die production and implement effective solutions. • Follow all Safety guidelines, protocols, and policies while maintaining a clean, organized working area.

Job Details: - Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Location: Taylor, MI – onsite, in a fast-paced plant environment
• Overtime Available
