Job summary

Quarterhill is seeking a Director of Finance for the Tolling Division to lead controllership, financial reporting, budgeting and project finance. The role partners with senior leaders to ensure timely, accurate reporting and robust controls as the Tolling business transitions onto Quarterhill's platform.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience with leadership in a controllership or business-unit finance function.
• CPA, CA, CMA or equivalent designation strongly preferred; university degree required.
• Direct experience operating a business under a Transition Services Agreement and leading the exit from those services is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a public-company, multi-entity, multi-currency, project-based or technology-enabled environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close for the Tolling business, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Ensure IFRS reporting and US GAAP translation for the seller's systems and consolidation.
• Own contract and project revenue recognition with proper support for external audits.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with executives and department heads.
• Oversee project accounting, working capital management and cash flow forecasting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, tax filings and insurance/bonding compliance.
• Manage treasury activities, banking relationships and liquidity planning.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and risk-management processes.
