Job summary

WSP in Concord, NH seeks a Finance Manager to organize and direct all general accounting and financial activities for the Tolling Operations Team. This full-time role focuses on compliance, reporting, and financial controls across project operations.

You will oversee journals, reconciliations, audits, and financial reporting, coordinate with clients and auditors, and lead a small accounting staff to drive efficiency and GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Active CPA license required.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years managing and reporting on financial systems (GAAP).
• 3+ years developing and implementing financial management systems.
• Experience in high-volume, regulated transactions or tolling back-office environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with project-specific accounting, reconciliation, auditing, and reporting requirements.
• Serve as the dedicated full-time financial lead for the project and audit readiness.
• Oversee accounting activities, processes, systems, and staff performance; implement improvements.
• Oversee accounts payable activities and customer refunds.
• Oversee preparation of journal entries and financial reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Manage reconciliations across financial systems and GAAP-compliant operations.
• Monitor audits (internal and external, including SOC 1 Type II) and coordinate with auditors.
