Job summary

Hope House Colorado invites a Toddler Teacher to join the brand-new Early Learning Center, serving infants through Pre-K in a play-based program. You will foster safe, nurturing environments, build strong relationships with families, and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver quality early childhood education.

The role emphasizes curriculum planning, progress assessment, health and safety compliance, and active participation in ongoing professional development within a supportive campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or related field (preferred) OR 36 college credits in ECE/related field
• Meet Colorado State Child Care Licensing educational qualification standards
• PDIS Level 3 Credential (required)
• Infant Nursery Supervisor Credential (required) or willing to obtain within six months
• Ability to lift infants and young toddlers
• Experience with children ages infancy through five, including lesson planning
• Professional development plan discussions if not meeting all requirements

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with children and families; communicate daily
• Provide nurturing, responsive interactions
• Provide individualized care ensuring health and safety
• Plan developmentally appropriate daily lessons using Creative Curriculum
• Prepare and implement Orange Curriculum to foster spiritual development
• Assess children's development using Teaching Strategies Gold; share updates with parents
• Collaborate with leadership and professionals for referrals to early intervention
• Engage with classroom volunteers and support staff
• Participate in on-site professional development
• Ensure compliance with Colorado licensing and health regulations
• Promote Hope House Colorado core values
