Job summary

St John LutheranLearning Center seeks a caring, energetic early childhood educator to support toddlers aged 12 to 24 months in a safe and nurturing classroom. The role focuses on development through play, routines, and attentive supervision.

You will plan age-appropriate activities, observe progress, and communicate with families while collaborating with a dedicated team to uphold licensing standards and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience with infants or toddlers in a child care, preschool, or early learning environment.
• Understanding of child development for children ages 12 to 24 months.
• Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate activities for young children.
• Strong communication, patience, and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
• Will ingness to work collaboratively with families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive daily care and supervision for toddlers ages 12 to 24 months.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support language, motor, social, and emotional growth.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Support children during routines such as meals, diapering, naptime, handwashing, and transitions.
• Use positive guidance strategies to encourage respectful behavior and emerging independence.
• Observe children and communicate developmental progress, needs, and daily updates to families.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain consistent classroom practices and a positive team culture.
• Follow health, safety, and licensing requirements at all times.
• Maintain accurate records related to attendance, care routines, and classroom activities.
