Job summary

Small Wonders Too Licensed Learning Center is seeking a dedicated educator to create a caring, safe learning environment for children. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, observe progress, and maintain strong communication with parents while supporting a positive classroom culture.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to state regulations, and ongoing professional development, including pursuing an Early Childhood Education Certificate with available scholarships.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Strong understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check.
• Must pass health screening (TB).
• Washington State Food Handlers certification.
• Proof of MMR vaccine.
• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement curriculum with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Observe and document children's interests and progress; communicate with parents.
• Follow center policies and state regulations; maintain records.
• Work toward an Early Childhood Education Certificate within 5 years (scholarships available).
