Job summary

The Learning Experience is hiring a Toddler Teacher to create a safe, engaging classroom for children ages 1–3, focusing on cognitive, social, and physical growth through age-appropriate activities and positive guidance.

You will collaborate with families and fellow educators, implement our curriculum, observe progress, and communicate daily milestones while maintaining a clean, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA/AA/BA preferred.
• Experience with toddlers in licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass required background screenings.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Completed 45 hours of Department Children Training (DCF).

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, safe classroom environment.
• Implement curriculum using hands-on, play-based learning.
• Foster language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Supervise children at all times for safety and well-being.
• Develop daily lesson plans and activities encouraging curiosity.
• Observe, assess, and document developmental progress.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding daily activities and milestones.
• Promote positive behavior with consistent guidance.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized classroom meeting health standards.
• Assist children with diapering, meals, handwashing, and naps.
• Collaborate with center leadership and teachers to create a positive team.
• Participate in staff meetings, PD, and ongoing training.
• Follow licensing regulations and company policies.
