Job summary

Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned child care/early learning center in Amherst, NH. We seek a dedicated Toddler Teacher to create a safe, nurturing environment for children 12 to 36 months, designing age-appropriate activities and partnering with families to support each child's development.

Responsibilities include daily routines, accurate progress observations, and maintaining a licensed, engaging classroom.

Qualifications

• NH state background check and FBI fingerprinting required.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to sit on the floor, bend, and safely lift children 20–40 pounds.
• Annual professional development hours as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily classroom routines including meals, rest time, diapering, and toilet training.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment meeting state licensing regulations.
• Observe and document each child’s developmental milestones and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s daily activities and growth.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety at all times.
