La Mère Academy in Leander, Texas is hiring a full-time early childhood educator. The role focuses on supervising a classroom, delivering approved lesson plans, and ensuring safety and development for young children.

We value nurturing, professionalism, and teamwork in a supportive environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and prior experience in licensed early childhood programs.

Qualifications

• Love of small children and ability to nurture.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• High school diploma or GED; CDA preferred is a plus.
• Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Must meet local child care regulatory requirements.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching in licensed early childhood program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily class activities for a group of children.
• Observe health, safety and care regulations at all times.
• Assess each child’s developmental needs and progress.
• Implement lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with Leadership Team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
• Provide positive reinforcement and consistent behavior expectations.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
