La Mere Academy in Leander, TX is seeking a Toddler Teacher for a 2-year-old classroom. The role is full-time with a Monday-Friday schedule, focusing on safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate activities for 24-36 month-olds.

The successful candidate will implement lesson plans, support language development, and foster social-emotional growth, while meeting licensing and health standards and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year of experience working with toddlers in a daycare, childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment.
• Strong understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for children ages 24-36 months.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and learning experiences.
• Support children's language development, social skills, and emotional growth.
• Encourage independence through daily routines and self-help skills.
• Supervise and interact with children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods.
• Assist with diapering, potty training, handwashing, and other personal care needs.
• Monitor and document developmental milestones and classroom observations.
• Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support children's learning and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Follow all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
• Build positive relationships with families and provide regular communication regarding children's progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a high-quality early learning experience.
