We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Toddler Teacher to lead a classroom of 2-year-old children and provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Position Overview
The Toddler Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing activities that support the social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development of two-year-old children. The ideal candidate is patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about early childhood education, with the ability to foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for children ages 24-36 months.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and learning experiences.
- Support children's language development, social skills, and emotional growth.
- Encourage independence through daily routines and self-help skills.
- Supervise and interact with children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods.
- Assist with diapering, potty training, handwashing, and other personal care needs.
- Monitor and document developmental milestones and classroom observations.
- Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support children's learning and development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Follow all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
- Build positive relationships with families and provide regular communication regarding children's progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a high-quality early learning experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year of experience working with toddlers in a daycare, childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment.
- Strong understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to frequently bend, lift, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Experience with potty training and toddler classroom management.
