Job summary

La Mère Academy in Leander, TX is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to supervise a group of children, follow approved lesson plans, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom.

You will collaborate with the Leadership Team on parent conferences, assess developmental needs, and foster confidence through creative activities. CPR/First Aid certification and a HS diploma are preferred. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Love of small children
• Friendly, enthusiastic demeanor with professional attitude
• Good oral and written communication skills
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or preferred
• Must meet local child care regulatory requirements
• Experience in licensed early childhood environment preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily class functions and supervision of children
• Observe health, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Assess developmental needs and implement lesson plans
• Plan parent-teacher conferences with Leadership Team
• Maintain a clean, engaging classroom space
• Provide positive behavior guidance and recognition
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Director
