Job summary

Boulder YMCA is hiring an Early Childhood Teacher to lead the preschool classroom in Boulder, CO. You will implement the curriculum, plan daily activities, supervise staff and children, and ensure safety and compliance with YMCA and state standards.

You will conduct parent conferences, engage families, maintain records, and participate in trainings and family events. A Bachelor's degree and ECT qualifications are required, with CPR/First Aid training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; meet ECT qualifications via CDHS.
• Minimum 1 year supervising preschool/kindergarten children.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens training within 30 days.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and communities.
• Willingness to meet YMCA driver requirements.
• Demonstrates YMCA values and mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the program and classroom; implement curriculum.
• Design and deliver daily lesson/activity plans; ensure safety.
• Supervise classroom, activities, and Assistant Teachers.
• Maintain program records, registrations, and medications as required.
• Conduct parent conferences; communicate effectively with families.
• Attend family nights, staff meetings, and trainings.
• Maintain site, equipment, and supplies; comply with policies.
