Job summary

Longmont YMCA in Longmont, CO is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) for part-time hours to deliver the program curriculum and provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for young children. You will design daily lesson plans, supervise children and staff, and maintain records with an emphasis on YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

The role requires collaboration with families, conducting conferences, and ensuring compliance with state health and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of preschool/kindergarten supervisory experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Implements curriculum within established guidelines.
• Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans.
• Supervises children, classroom, and activities.
• Supports supervision of Assistant Teachers.
• Maintains program records and registrations.
• Communicates effectively with parents and hosts conferences.
• Ensures safety and compliance with YMCA and health regulations.
