Job summary

Coalition for Smarter Growth is seeking a Baltimore County TOD Organizer to advance sustainable, equitable transit-oriented communities in the DC region. The role works under the Maryland Housing Advocacy Manager and involves on-the-ground presence, public meetings, testimony, and relationship building.

Hybrid work with some travel to Baltimore County and Maryland; evening/weekend events required. Non-exempt, hourly with benefits for 30+ hours/week; salary range $30–$34 per hour, equivalent to

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with land use, housing, and zoning issues in Baltimore County.
• Read reports and summarize accurately.
• Develop contacts, hold relational meetings, build a base of TOD supporters.
• Attend public meetings and write and deliver testimony.
• Speak clearly and persuasively about smart growth and TOD.
• Maintain frequent communications with and work under supervisor.
