Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Operations Lead in Conway, SC to manage Food Lion To Go services, recruit and train front-end associates, and optimize scheduling to meet drive-thru and online order demand.

You will supervise daily activities, coach performance, and ensure safe, compliant store operations while delivering friendly, high-quality customer service and helping achieve store goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order traffic.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stock items.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, especially refrigerated and perishable items.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through ordering, supplies, and equipment care.
• Understand and utilize company tools and systems (ACIS, scheduling, CAO, etc.).
• Ensure department appearance, quality, safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
• Maintain understanding of scheduling, sales, wages, interviewing, training, and reporting for To Go operations.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents as per procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and security standards.
