Job summary

WellStead Mental Health seeks a TMS Care Coordinator to guide patients through their treatment journey. You will conduct consultations, educate on TMS therapy, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, schedule sessions, and support engagement.

This role operates under physician supervision to administer TMS as needed. You will work with providers, staff, insurers, and referrals to ensure timely access to care and a positive patient experience from initial contact through completion of care,

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, healthcare certification, or other relevant healthcare training preferred.
• Associate’s degree may be substituted for experience but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage for TMS services.
• Obtain and manage initial and continuing prior authorizations for TMS treatment.
• Collect, review, and organize clinical documentation to support medical necessity.
• Submit authorization requests to insurance carriers and monitor status.
• Coordinate peer reviews, reconsiderations, and appeals as needed.
• Communicate insurance determinations and patient financial responsibilities to patients and providers.
• Administer TMS treatments under physician supervision, following protocols.
• Schedule consultations, treatment appointments, and follow-up visits.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in the EHR.
