Job summary

State of Delaware is seeking a Supervisory professional to lead the Transportation Management Center (TMC) team 24/7/365. You will oversee operations, coordinate incidents, and ensure efficient response during events, weather, and emergencies.

The role requires rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must meet the Education and Training requirements and have a valid driver's license. Pre-employment checks and accommodations are available.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in using intelligent transportation systems to optimize traffic flow.
• Three years experience in developing and evaluating traffic management solutions for planned events and incidents.
• Three years experience in evaluating traffic control methods and devices.
• Three years experience in analyzing high‑risk traffic conditions and remedies.
• Three years experience in project management across planning to evaluation stages.
• Six months experience in contract management and changes negotiation.
• Three years experience in using an automated information system to manage data.
• Knowledge of staff supervision and leading a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Inspects infrastructure for compliance with design plans and safety codes.
• Designs or reviews engineering project layouts and related studies.
• Records data and reports for compliance and design purposes.
• Conducts studies to analyze needs and develop plans.
• Performs data analysis to support recommendations and corrections.
• Operates CAD tools and CAD-related software for data entry and reporting.
