Overall Job Summary

The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to keep inventory shortages at or below store goals and maximize store sales by receiving and shipping freight within a timely manner. The TM Receiver interacts with customers and Team Members, supports selling initiatives, and performs assigned tasks, all while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. They also promote a safe and productive work environment and adhere to safety training and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
  • Process inbound and outbound freight accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory control and adhere to loss prevention standards.
  • Participate in freight process, merchandise recovery, and keep work areas organized and safe.
  • Operate cash register following procedures.
  • Ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Handle rotation and disposition of dated products, assemble merchandise, operate equipment like forklift and baler, and care for poultry as needed.
  • Complete documentation and obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred but not required. Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is a plus. Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred Skills & Abilities
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ethical issue resolution.
Working Conditions
  • Mostly indoor, moderate noise environment, with outdoor work possible in adverse weather.
  • Shifts vary, generally no less than 4 hours, possibly exceeding 8 hours.
  • Hard surface floors, adequate lighting and temperature, outdoor work in weather conditions.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and ability to work outdoors as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Non-sedentary role requiring physical stamina to move throughout the store and outdoors.
  • Operate equipment like forklifts, push/pull merchandise up to 2000 pounds, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring agility and strength.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Complete training and certifications, including propane handling if applicable.
