The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to keep inventory shortages at or below store goals and maximize store sales by receiving and shipping freight within a timely manner. The TM Receiver interacts with customers and Team Members, supports selling initiatives, and performs assigned tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. They are also responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment, adhering to safety training and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Availability, flexibility, adaptability, and service orientation are essential. The role involves:

• Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Working scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Delivering Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, Add Value, and Appreciate.
• Performing duties such as processing freight, maintaining inventory, merchandise recovery, participating in freight processes, keeping work areas clean and organized, operating cash registers, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Operating equipment like forklifts, balers, and handling poultry care as required.
• Completing all related documentation and obtaining necessary licenses or certifications.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred but not required. Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is a plus. Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ethical issue resolution with minimal conflict.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor environment with moderate noise; outdoor work possible in adverse weather.
• Shifts vary but typically no less than 4 hours, possibly exceeding 8 hours.
• Hard surface floors, adequate lighting, and temperature.

Physical Requirements

• Non-sedentary role requiring physical stamina.
• Ability to operate equipment, lift merchandise up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks including climbing and moving throughout the store.
• Must complete training and certifications, including for propane handling if applicable.
