The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to keep inventory shortages at or below store goals and maximize store sales by receiving and shipping freight within a timely manner. The TM Receiver interacts with customers and Team Members, supports selling initiatives, and performs assigned tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. They are also responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, adhering to Tractor Supply Company safety training and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

It is essential to be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, capable of fulfilling all the following requirements.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
  • Greet the Customer.
  • Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants.
  • Recommend Product Solutions.
  • Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• The TM Receiver performs duties during 95% of their day, including:
  • Processing inbound and outbound freight.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory control and adhering to loss prevention standards.
  • Recovering merchandise.
  • Participating in mandatory freight processes.
  • Keeping a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Maintaining, recovering, stocking, and tagging assigned areas and outside merchandise.
  • Operating cash register/computer following established procedures.
  • Ensuring a Legendary shopping experience.
  • Rotating and disposing of dated products.
  • Assembling merchandise.
  • Operating Forklift and Cardboard Baler.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of birds, including sanitizing and maintaining poultry tanks.
  • Completing documentation for all duties.
  • Obtaining necessary licenses or certifications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Shipping/receiving preferred but not required. Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred skills and abilities

• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.

Working Conditions

• Generally indoor with moderate noise; outdoor work possible.
• Shifts typically no less than 4 hours, may exceed 8 hours.
• Hard surfaces, adequate lighting and temperature.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather.

Physical Requirements

• Non-sedentary role requiring physical stamina.
• Ability to operate equipment, lift up to 50 pounds, and move throughout the store safely.
• Ability to perform tasks such as climbing ladders, standing, kneeling, and other physical activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and complete training and certifications.
