Job summary

Youth Development Professional – TK and Kinder will work primarily in a school-based site at the Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro. You’ll supervise, mentor, and guide children after school, delivering play-based learning and developmentally appropriate activities in a warm, safe setting.

The role emphasizes building language and social-emotional skills through engaging activities, with a strong focus on teamwork and supporting children through transitions and routines.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and emotional intelligence.
• Ability to maintain a safe, structured environment.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing transitions and learning.
• High emotional intelligence and integrity with child development understanding.
