Job summary

The KinderCare Coordinator at Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro leads the TK/K program on a school-based site, guiding Youth Development Professionals to create a safe, engaging learning space for ages 3–6. You will collaborate with teachers and families to foster curiosity and confidence in young learners, while upholding BGCSL methodologies.

Qualifications

• Education: 48 college units or an AA in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with children aged 3–6.
• 2+ years leading, coaching, or coordinating front-line staff.
• Commitment to high-quality early childhood education.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support YDPs to deliver a high-quality TK/K program.
• Oversee learning and play activities aligned with methodologies.
• Track progress toward TK/K milestones through observations.
• Support broader after-school program implementations.
• Implement safety and emergency procedures and drills.
• Document incidents and maintain safety records.
• Attend meetings and training to stay current on best practices.
• Monitor child development and inform learning experiences.
