Job summary

South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles in Aiken, SC is seeking a Titling & Licensing Specialist to handle driver licenses, vehicle registrations and titles, serving a diverse public with accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires knowledge of DMV policies, attention to detail and the ability to work with banks, lienholders and dealerships. Located in the Aiken office, you will process licenses, registrations, fees, and support critical customer services daily.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and clerical experience.
• Must complete a nationwide background check with fingerprints before CDL testing.
• Must complete CDL test examiner trainer course and examinations.
• Ability to retain DMV policies and explain procedures to customers.

Responsibilities

• Examine, accept, prepare, enter and print documents for licenses, permits, IDs and titles.
• Manage licensing needs for banks, lienholders, insurers and dealerships.
• Process motor vehicle registrations and research suspension inquiries.
• Administer knowledge tests for drivers with various license classes.
• Answer inquiries on driver, vehicle, registration and insurance requirements.
